Our Story
The Breeze opened its doors April 2022 in Glendale/Gilford, NH. Being located on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee, the restaurant offers views of the beautiful lake and the New Hampshire mountains.
Why The Breeze?
When owner of The Breeze, Ken Choice, thinks about being out on the lake, it’s the feeling of “the breeze” on his face that he enjoys, along with the calm and relaxing environment he experiences. This feeling was the inspiration for both the restaurant’s name and atmosphere. The Breeze, strives to “capture those same feelings and pass them on to our guests when they dine with us”.
The creative menu offers fresh and made from scratch selections, showcasing seafood and seasonal offerings that reflect Ken’s knowledge of what guests are looking for when selecting where to dine in the Lakes Region. He hopes that The Breeze provides a name and dining experience that people “remember while out on the lake or just in town”.
The location of The Breeze is a highlight for owner and patrons alike. “The location speaks for itself. It’s a beautiful view and I feel relaxed on the water. When I used to work on the water at The Boathouse Grille, it didn’t seem like I was going to work due to where it was. I always loved working on the lake,” said Ken when asked why the location was selected.
"I love nostalgia and was trying to capture the history of the lake. I noticed the pictures at Fay’s Marina and asked the owner if I could purchase or borrow them. He was gracious enough to loan them to us to help create the vision." ~ Ken Choice
We strive to offer a casual, yet upscale food environment. All of our items are developed here in the restaurant and we have created some signature items that we hope make people want to return.
